Desert Goddess Joshua Tree Retreat Recap

The Desert Goddess retreat was

DIVINE.

The goddesses and I spent 3 magical days and 2 nights tapping into our divine feminine energy, letting go of what was holding us back, and diving into the lives we want to create for ourselves.

Day 1

We started out with a welcome circle where everyone received their goddess goodie bags (thank you to our sponsors Thread & Seed, Madera, and Carbon 38!) and then we introduced ourselves and spoke our intentions for the weekend.

Then, we had a juicy slow flow to help the goddesses get grounded, release stagnant energy, and tap into the energy Goddess Kali. Mid-flow we got the goddess-heat going with an epic dance party to Dog Days Are Over by Florence and The Machine!

The Goddess Kali teaches us to accept change, the fear of the unknown, and the grieving of lost past. She helps us to remember that the pain and sadness of letting go are sometimes necessary to continue our path of a fulfilling life.

After practice, we had our first incredible plant-based meal from our chef Kali Evermann!

After we filled ourselves with as much nourishing, delicious food as possible we had a release ceremony to burn away anything that we needed to let go of that weekend and then we hit the hay!

Day 2

Day 2 began with a light and delicious breaky a-la Kali with some energizing kombucha from our sponsor Seven Seas and then we headed off to a surprisingly cool hike through the desert to a palm tree-filled oasis.

Once we got to the oasis we did a meditation to release any stories that were holding us back and then invite in the authentic truths about ourselves.

After we spent some time there we headed back to the house where Kali had an incredible lunch waiting for us which included the most delicious vegan cheese from our sponsor Sri Mu!

After lunch, some of the ladies cooled down in the pool.

Then, we had our sage bundling workshop where we bundled fresh sage with hemp string infused with crystal beads. (Thank you to Jolee for contributing some beautiful supplies!)

That evening, we reconvened for a manifestation ritual where we all wrote down a list of what we are calling in. Then we carved one manifestation into a spell candle and lit them making a beautiful alter. The goddesses added jewelry, photos, and crystals that they wanted to infuse with the magical energy.

Then, we had a manifestation yin and reiki practice where we tapped into the Goddess Isis. Isis teaches us the timeless expression of the divine feminine. She is the protector of women and supports your quest to reclaim your power and take responsibility for your healing journey.

We ended the practice with heart-opening sound healing and then we had another drool-worthy dinner by Kali. After dinner we sat around the fire, made s’mores, and had one final manifestation ceremony.

Day 3

On morning 3 we woke up and got right into our final yoga practice - a sweaty vinyasa flow to boost the inner fire of transformation and empowerment.

In this flow, we channeled the energy of the Goddess Artemis who is the goddess of light. She is independent, beautiful, and wild. She teaches you leadership and focus, blesses you with strength and courage, and helps you to reach your goals.

We ended the flow with another amazing and hilarious dance party to Feel So Close by Calvin Harris. Seriously, it was the BEST.

Then, we had our final circle where we talked about what we had learned about ourselves that weekend and chanted the retreat to a close. Many tears were shed and so many hugs were given. It was truly a dream come true,

Kali sent us off with one last delicious meal and then we were on our way.

Thank you so much to all of the incredible women who showed up so vulnerably and so authentically. This retreat could not have been more special and it was so powerful to be able to connect the way we did after a year of so much disconnectedness.

Also, a HUGE thank you to Yessie Molar Photography for all of the beautiful photos/content from the weekend and thank you to Kali for keeping us nourished and energized with such incredible food. Also, thank you to our sponsors for all of your high-vibe goodies that made the weekend even more magical!
