My name is Kelly and I am a personal trainer, yoga instructor, energy healer, and thriving vegan!

I grew up in Southern California as a gymnast, soccer player, and cheerleader, and have had a passion for physical movement since I can remember. In 2009, while getting my Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology at San Diego State, I became a fitness instructor and personal trainer, and around the same time I began practicing yoga once a week.


After graduating college, I continued personal training and teaching group fitness but always felt like there was some missing piece that I wanted to bring to my own life and my client’s lives. I had had chronic upper back and neck pain since I was around 15 years old, and after being misdiagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 25, I decided to increase my yoga practice. To my surprise, the yoga seemed to by helping my back. I felt more spaciousness in my body and I no longer found myself sometimes having to lie in bed in pain for a whole day.


So, 7 years after discovering yoga, I went to Bali to become a certified yoga instructor. I had gone to Bali to learn about yoga and meditation, but it turned out to be so much more. It brought me to a whole new awareness of my body and helped me to heal emotional traumas that I had been bottling up for years. I realized that part of the reason I was physically in so much pain was because of the emotional trauma that I was storing in my body. It was truly eye-opening and forever changed the way that I looked at physical movement and personal training.  


My coaching and teaching style stems from the variety of physical movement practices in my background and can be described as creative, athletic, and intuitive. Whether I am teaching a yoga class or working one-on-one with a client towards yoga or fitness goals, I focus on incorporating breath, proper alignment, and reconnecting the body and mind. My ultimate goal is to help you feel strong, open, balanced, and leaving each session feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on the world. :)


I have a fascination with energy work and the subtle body. In early 2017, I became a certified Reiki practitioner and have found that the use of reiki energy healing in balancing out the body and mind can be profound.


The life-changing realizations that I had during my YTT in Bali also inspired me to start my own yoga and adventure retreat company, Roaming Yogi Adventures, in 2016. Since then I have led retreats in Catalina, Peru, Santa Barbara, Iceland, Sri Lanka, and Greece.


When I am not teaching or planning a retreat, you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee, experimenting with vegan recipes, lounging around my house, adventuring outside with my dog, Coco, or exploring the world with my boyfriend, Thomas. :)
